Gravel & Mountain bike guiding in the Scottish Highlands
With over 10 years of experience exploring the Highlands by bike we can help you get the most out of your precious time here.
As the name suggests, we specialise in adventures. Our routes are not overly technical - we want you to be looking up, taking in the wonderful scenery of the Highlands, not looking down navigating features.
All routes are suitable for gravel or mountain bikes and we keep off the road as much as possible. This makes them perfect for explorers and families.
We know the best routes, the best places to stop for the best views and those all-important best refuelling points.
We are based at Dalraddy Holiday Park, 4 miles south of Aviemore - the perfect starting point for your adventure.
We started out exploring the Highlands as a family. This meant one parent was always route planner, organiser, motivator. How about someone else takes the load?
Our 'standard' routes are on paths, gravel, fire roads with a smattering of single track to keep everyone happy!
We can discuss your requirements and build a plan so that the whole family can enjoy what the area has to offer.
The beauty of the biking round the Highlands is the amount of ground you can cover, which means the amount of nature that you can see.
We ride through Glens in the process of re-wilding, ancient Caledonian pine forests and to Lochs and Lochans.
For the more adventurous we can even get to the coast or include a trip on a steam train!
Some of our highlights:
The Speyside Way
A long distance cycle & walking path that runs from Newtonmore to Spey Bay. We know the best bits and how to make them into a memorable route.
Glen Feshie
This Glen is stunning. It is in the early stages of a 200 year rewilding plan and the results are already impressive. Trails, swim spots & the best bothie in Scotland!
Abernethy Forest
An RSPB reserve of ancient Caledonian pine forest with tracks & trails throughout.
The Dava Way
Cycle to the sea anyone? A disused railway line that can take us all the way to the coast (fish & chips and a lift back in the van?)
